David Parks
Biography
Master Sergeant David Parks holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelor of Music degree from Whitworth College. In 2006, Master Sgt. Parks was featured at the Integrales New Music Festival, and has presented guest recitals at the North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial Conference and the World Saxophone Congresses in Slovenia and Minneapolis. Master Sgt. Parks is also a past winner of the Music Teachers National Association Competition and the IBLA International Performance Competition. Master Sgt. Parks’ teachers include Otis Murphy, Lawrence Gwozdz, and Sylvia Baker. Master Sgt. Parks joined the Supply Section in 2019.

This dedicated team of professionals provides comprehensive support across a wide range of essential services, from managing resources and handling information systems to maintaining instruments and supporting logistics. Their expertise allows the musicians of the Army Field Band to focus on their craft and Army training, knowing that all behind-the-scenes operations—from arranging music to ensuring instruments are in top condition and managing the day-to-day supply and transportation needs—are expertly taken care of. The Army Field Band Support Group is integral to the overall mission, providing the foundation for excellence in performance and readiness.
